I used this promo picture for the 2011 Winter Classic at Heinz field: [link]
I was psyched for the game so I drew this. It doesn't look exactly like them but I think I did a good job. I think Ovechkin (left) looks better than Crosby (right) which is a bit upsetting because I'm a Penguins fan. I realize I'm uploading this a couple days late but I finished it 15 minutes before the game started and then my scanner wouldn't work but better late than never. Quality is a bit low because of the scanner. I might turn this into a digital piece too but I'm not sure. Overall I'm pretty proud of this :D

Hi! Below is my critique...

I must agree I’d rather you posted this late than never getting it posted at all. This is a really cool piece. Of course, some would say I’m saying that because I’m a hockey fan. Ha-ha. I think both players turned out really well. I prefer Ovechkin, but Crosby isn’t bad either. I do believe I’m really impressed with the Winter Classic logo. Don’t misunderstand me you did a great job on the whole piece but what I keep finding myself drawn to is the Winter Classic logo. I keep looking at this piece and I admit I’m kind of waiting for these two talented players to start fighting each other. You’ve got my imagination going that’s for sure and let me just say once again you’ve done a great job on this drawing.

Yes, when I said I prefer Ovechkin I meant in the drawing.
Although I am I bigger Ovechkin fan than Crosby but you still
did an awesome job on Crosby as well. :D

ha heck yeah. And your timing could not be more perfect. I'm pretty sure I want to make a Penguins, possibly penguins and steelers, group but I'm not sure because I don't know how much work it takes to keep a group going. I've never created a group or had a big role in one. You're the founder of a couple groups, how easy is it to keep them going?

weeeeelllllll what can i say? creating your own group, you need some dedication for a few weeks to get it up in the air (it took me about a month for #HockeyEVERYTHING) but the other two groups (ones i didnt create) is no sweat dealing with! :iconyeahplz:
